Start:     Mar 16, '07 8:00p
Location:     AFP Theater, Camp Aguinaldo
More than 25 years ago, three pioneering batches of young women and men from the Jesuit Volunteers of the Philippines (JVP) sailed to different underprivileged areas in the country to help build a better nation. Now in 2007, we honor these unsung heroes from JVP Batches 1–3 and continue to spread the spirit of volunteerism and faith-driven service in a special musical concert entitled "Journey to Hope: A Heartwarming Musical."

Come join us at Camp Aguinaldo's AFP Theater on March 16, 2007 at 8 p.m. as we celebrate this special tribute-benefit concert featuring our very own Jesuit Volunteers' touching stories of hope interspersed with poignant songs from the world's best-loved musicals like “Rent,” “West Side Story,” “Carousel,” “Jekyll and Hyde,” “Aspects of Love,” “The Sound of Music,” “Godspell,” and “Whistle Down the Wind.”

To interpret these stirring melodies from our favorite musicals are five of the country's shining young artists today: Aliw & Famas Awardee Monique Wilson, 2005 Grand Champion Performer of the World (WCOPA) Jed Madela, ALIW Awardee Bituin Escalante, Philippine Idol finalist Andrae Ybanez and the Ateneo's very own Karylle, accompanied by a full, eight-member band and The Ateneo Boys' Choir.

Seating and corresponding ticket prices for Journey to Hope are as follows: Balcony Sides (Php300), Balcony Center (Php500), Orchestra Sides (Php800), Upper Orchestra Center (Php 1,000), and Lower Orchestra Center (Php1,200). Proceeds from ticket and concert merchandise sales will be used to support the Volunteer Service Program of the Jesuit Volunteers Philippines Foundation, Inc.

To reserve your tickets, just call the JVP Foundation Office at tel. nos. 426-5908 or 426-6001 loc. 4880. For your convenience, we can also deliver purchased tickets to your office for only a minimal fee. Please note that we will also be giving a special discount to all Jesuit Volunteers and Associate Members regardless of the number of tickets brought.

BIG. it's been two years i think (2005) when i was last inside the AFP Theater (powerdance concert). i'm really not certain of the dimensions anymore.

this is my suggestion, though: since the stars are biggies and really GRRRREAT singers and the songs are from broadway (we like! we like!), let's save up for PHP500 at least. i think it's REALLY worth it! ;)

That's still a bit far. I now seem to remember that I was once inside that theater watching an inter-college Christmas carol competition. I'll try to see if I can get at least PhP800. But I own't know my budget till March pa. Kainis kasi magkasunod sila ng concert ni Lani Misalucha.
