DEAR FRIENDS,
I'm so sorry to intrude into your day like this, but we just need a little of your time and help with our concert-fundraiser tomorrow for Ang Arko ng Pilipinas and the Jesuit Volunteers of the Philippines, "A SPECIAL Christmas". Our ticket sales are not as good as we expected these to be, according to our Special Projects Officer, Mr. Joseph Uy.
Can you then please make "kulit nang kaunti pa" your friends, family and acquaintances to help us with our cause and attend our concert by either of these two options:
1) Copy-pasting the PERSONAL CONCERT INVITE below then attaching the CONCERT POSTER PHOTO and EMAILING these to the people in YOUR NETWORK?
2) Directing them to MY MULTIPLY SITE so they can SEE THE CONCERT DETAILS AND POSTER THERE?

Thanks a lot, EVERYONE - I appreciate any small deed you can manage! :) Even just inviting 3-5 people from your network whom you think might be able to attend our concert will be a great help. :)
Take care and Godspeed,
Pauline Apilado

Dear ___________________,
Please come join us in our little MUSICAL-FUNDRAISER for the beloved CHILDREN of ANG ARKO NG PILIPINAS and the inspiring MEMBERS AND FRIENDS of the JESUIT VOLUNTEERS OF THE PHILIPPINES:
“A Special Christmas” Concert from the Heart
This Christmas, the Jesuit Volunteers of the Philippines (JVP) and Ang Arko ng Pilipinas have come together to celebrate the season through God’s gift of music. Together with Hangad, a dynamic choral group under the Jesuit Music Ministry, the JVP and Ang Arko are retelling the story of Jesus’ birth through the eyes of their own volunteers and members.
“A Special Christmas: A Heartwarming Fundraising Concert” shares the experiences of a JVP volunteer, who reaches out and rediscovers the meaning of the holiday through his interaction with Ang Arko’s core members who are children with special needs.
The story mirrors how the partnership between the two organizations began. The JVP, as a community dedicated to the task of nation-building by promoting volunteerism and faith-driven service, sends young men and women to work in non-government organizations all over the country. Ang Arko, as a foundation that adopts children with mental handicaps in the spirit of the Beatitudes, is the perfect family to receive these volunteers.
The JVP and Ang Arko both share in their vision to create communities that provide the youth and the differently-abled with the support and opportunity to engage in meaningful relationships that will fuel their drive to serve. These two organizations continue to thrive under these relationships – through dedication and commitment of their volunteers.
This concert is a testament to the great things that can be achieved through the power of volunteerism. It features Jose Mari Chan performing the introductory piece and KC Concepcion as the host of the show, both of whom have graciously volunteered their time to a cause they believe in. They are joined by a diverse group of extremely talented kindred souls such as Hangad, singer Oggie Benipayo, vocal trio AKA’s Apple Chiu, Arms Cruz and Ken Dingle, tenor Randy Gilongo, Philippine Idol finalist Drae Ybanez and pianist Jed Balsamo in this truly special Christmas celebration.
Apart from the impressive group of featured artists, one of the highlights of the concert repertoire is an original piece written by a volunteer named Marchan Padla. His song “Raymond’s Lullaby” was inspired by and dedicated to Ang Arko’s core member Raymond, an autistic child who yearns for calmness and serenity during Christmastime. Every New Year’s Eve, Raymond is brought with the rest of the core members outside the city, because he dislikes the noise of fireworks. Although verbally inarticulate, Raymond is very astute in conveying his thoughts and emotions, and his genuine character touches all who have had the privilege of knowing him. The song communicates what Raymond cannot say for himself.
A meaningful and sincere concert with a talented lineup of guest performers, this will be a truly unique way of celebrating Christmas! We are warmly inviting you and your family and friends to join us, the JVP and Ang Arko in singing out our prayers for this holiday season on December 12, 2007 (Wednesday) at 7:30 p.m., in the Francisco Santiago Hall, BDO South Tower (formerly Equitable PCI Bank Tower 1), Makati Ave. corner H. V. de la Costa St., Makati City.
This concert is made possible through support of BDO, Energizer, Nestle Philippines, The Manila Times, Cebu Pacific, Smart and Jesuit Communication Foundation. Tickets are sold at P300 for balcony seats and P500 for orchestra seats in the JVP office, 3rd Floor Bellarmine Hall, Ateneo de Manila University. For ticket sales and other inquiries, you may call the JVP Office at 426-5908 or 0920-9540053, the MCO Foundation at 878-4359, Ticketworld at 891-9999 or buy your tickets online at http://www.ticketworld.com.ph or at any Ticketworld outlet.
We also need all the help we can get, so please do take the time to PASS ON THIS SPECIAL INVITE to your other FRIENDS, COLLEAGUES and ACQUAINTANCES. We hope to see all of you there!
Take care and Godspeed,
