These 10 poems recited by Filipino writers from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) were taken from the CD “USTinig: UST Writers Read”. I’m surprised by how comforted I am and challenged to think whenever I listen to these poems during my commutes around the metro or trips outside it.
I’ve taken some of my favorite poems in English and Filipino from “USTinig” and posted them here for you to enjoy as well. There’s really no other “requirement” to doing so other than listening and listening well. There are no English translations for the poems written in Filipino as yet, but I hope you all appreciate listening to these, too. “USTinig” is available for PHP150 in the Creative Writing Center and Studies (open from Monday-Friday from 8 AM- 5PM, with tel. no. 406-1611 loc. 8281, care of Ms. Anna) at the Ground Floor of UST’s Commerce Building.
