Sometimes we gravitate towards music that most matches our personality. For example, if I were to sing for my friends the late great Louis Armstrong original "What A Wonderful World," I know I'd sing it pretty much like how the sublime Eva Cassidy sings it here in this video* --- quietly moving, heartfelt, a bit sultry and infused with a jazz and rhythm-and-blues flavor. To Aki, Alvie, She, Anne, my sisters Lea and Thea, Dons, Bianx, Lea G., Gae, Reich, Happy, Anj and numerous online friends here in Multiply (Val, Gi, Donna, Ed, Mile, Vien, @Et, J, et. al.) thank you for making me see what a truly wonderful world we have. Let's keep on doing this for one another and for other people as well. Cheers!
WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD (George Weiss / Bob Thiele) by Louis Armstrong
I see trees of green, red roses too I see them bloom for me and you And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
I see skies of blue and clouds of white The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky Are also on the faces of people going by I see friends shakin' hands, sayin' "How do you do?" They're really saying "I love you"
I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow They'll learn much more than I'll ever know And I think to myself, what a wonderful world Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Oh yeah
